The first stretch starts from Pithoragarh to Tawaghat, it covers 107.6 km. The second stretch starts from Tawaghat to Ghatiabgarh, which is a 19.5 km single path, and the third is from Ghatiabgarh to Lipulekh Pass at the China line. The third stretch is 80 km long and can be covered by walking as well.

The Nathu La Pass route (Sikkim) is motorable and easy to go for older citizens. This route passes through many beautiful views like Hangu Lake and the vast areas of the Tibetan plateau. Kailash Mansarovar yatra through Nathu La Pass(Sikkim) takes around 21 days.
